I finally saw Dreamgirls last night in New York City at the last show. What an enjoyable experience. The screenwriter stayed very close to the original play with excellent performances by the entire cast. Now lets see if people pack the box office like the producers hope. After all it is a musical and that is fare that we don't normally go for. Jennifer Hudson as Effie was outstanding but one must keep in mind that the Dreamgirls story is Effie's story. Beyonce did a great job as well as the others. If you like good music you will love the sountrack. Next up the Oscars. Let's see what happens.
Tonight I want to checkout Will Smith's movie "The Pursuit of Happyness." My friends have been giving me movie tickets for Xmas. What a great idea. Watch the trailer.
